Ajman 4th International Environment Conference 2016: Smart Cities and Green Innovation

The Ajman 4th International Environment Conference will focus on how communities and businesses implement innovative green practices toward the realization of a sustainable future. In its fourth year, scientists, experts, and decision makers will convene again to focus on shifting the paradigm on sustainability so that it is viewed as a value-adding framework in technology and business. Processes for innovation will be explored with a focus on customizing green practices to the unique environment of Ajman, the UAE, GCC countries, and the Middle East.

The conference features engaging breakout sessions that will reignite passion for innovation and showcase the practices that are being implemented across the business and technology space. The trade fair is an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues and exchange ideas, gaining valuable expertise needed to contribute to decision-making on implementation of green practices, using eco-efficient technology, managing the carbon footprint, and supporting the expansion of environmentally friendly initiatives.

Authors of top 20 research papers selected by the scientific committee will receive the following sponsorship:

Abstract should not exceed 250 words and should contain title, author/s names, full address, and email address. Please specify the conference track of choice. Include at least four keywords. CALL FOR PAPERS

Proposals for paper presentations, workshops, posters, or colloquia are invited for the Sixth International Conference on Food Studies, held at University of California at Berkeley, Berkeley, USA, 12-13 October 2016. Proposals are invited that address food studies through one of the following categories:

Theme 1: Food Production and Sustainability
Theme 2: Food, Nutrition, and Health
Theme 3: Food Policies and Cultures

2016 SPECIAL THEME: “Food Systems in the Age of the Anthropocene: Addressing Demands for Change”

VIRTUAL PRESENTATIONS

If you are unable to attend the conference in person, you may present in a Virtual Poster session or a Virtual Lightning Talk. Virtual sessions enable participants to present work to a body of peers and to engage with colleagues from afar. As a virtual participant, presenters are scheduled in the formal program, have access to select conference content, can submit an article for peer review and possible publication, may upload an online presentation, and can enjoy annual membership to the community and subscriber access to Food Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal.

CONFERENCE SUBMISSION DEADLINES

We welcome the submission of proposals to the conference at any time of the year before the final Late Proposal Deadline (see below). All proposals will be reviewed within two to four weeks of submission. The dates below serve as a guideline for proposal submission based on our corresponding registration deadlines.

Early Proposal Deadline – 12 March 2016
Regular Proposal Deadline – 12 July 2016
Late Proposal Deadline – 12 September 2016

FOOD STUDIES: AN INTERDISCIPLINARY JOURNAL

All presenters are invited to submit written articles for publication to the fully refereed Food Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal. Articles may be submitted by in-person and virtual participants as well as Community Members.
